Where are classes held?
Online and in person in mid-city Los Angeles.
How often is the program offered?
Four times a year. You can apply any time.
Do I need healthcare experience?
No. Employers prefer a consistent work history of about six months, and experience in customer service, retail, food service, or as an administrative assistant or caregiver is a plus. If you want to work in healthcare but not on the front lines, this program is a great fit.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Employer partners and funders pay for your training. You do need to commit to attending every class, because missed classes can end your enrollment.
Am I paid during training?
No. Training is free, and JVS SoCal provides supportive services to see you through it. In some cases we can lend you a Chromebook for online classes.
Is a job guaranteed?
No program can guarantee a job. When you finish, you get job placement help and the chance to interview with our employer partners for full-time roles. More than 80% of graduates across our career training programs are placed.
Do you help after I am hired?
Yes. Career counseling and guidance continue as you grow in your new job.
